INVENTORY POLICY – Movie Original Poster

1. Overview

This Inventory Policy explains how Movie Original Poster manages product availability, stock levels, and out‑of‑stock items in our online store. Because we specialize in authentic and vintage movie posters, many items are one-of-a-kind or limited-quantity collectibles. Once sold, they may not be restocked.

Our goal is to provide accurate stock information so you know whether an item is available to ship now. Because we sell physical products and some are rare or vintage items, inventory may change quickly and occasionally items may become unavailable after you place an order. When that happens, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss your options.

2. Stock availability and unique items

  • Product pages show the current availability of each item based on our real‑time Shopify inventory.

  • When an item is in stock, it will be available to add to your cart and purchase.

  • If an item shows as "Sold Out" or cannot be added to your cart, it is currently unavailable and cannot be ordered at that time.

  • Many movie posters in our collection are vintage, rare, or one-of-a-kind items. When these sell out, they typically cannot be restocked. We recommend purchasing collectible items promptly if you are interested, as they may not be available again.

Although we work hard to keep our inventory accurate and update stock levels in real time, there may be rare cases of overselling (for example, if multiple customers purchase the last item simultaneously, or if there is a system error). In those cases, we will contact you promptly with options such as a full refund, wait time if a similar item becomes available, or an alternative product recommendation.

3. Restocks and new arrivals

  • Vintage and rare posters: Most vintage, original, or limited-edition posters are unique items. Once sold, they are unlikely to be restocked.

  • Reproduction and modern posters: Some reproduction posters or modern prints may be restocked periodically, depending on supplier availability.

  • New arrivals: We regularly add new items to our collection. To stay updated on new inventory, you can:

    • Visit our "New Arrivals" or "Recently Added" section on the website.

    • Subscribe to our email newsletter (if available) for updates on new products and special releases.

    • Follow us on social media for announcements about fresh inventory.

If you are interested in a specific poster that is currently out of stock, you may contact us at support@movieoriginal.com to ask if we expect a restock or if we can source a similar item. However, we cannot guarantee availability of rare or vintage collectibles.

4. Pre-orders and backorders

By default, Movie Original Poster does not accept pre-orders or backorders on out‑of‑stock items, unless explicitly marked on the product page.

  • If a product is available for pre-order, we will clearly display an estimated ship date or lead time on the product page (for example, "Pre-order: Ships in 3–4 weeks").

  • When you place a pre-order, you agree that shipment will occur at a later date and that estimated dates may change due to supplier delays, shipping logistics, or other factors beyond our control.

  • If we cannot fulfill a pre-order within a reasonable timeframe, we will notify you and offer a cancellation with a full refund if you no longer wish to wait.

If you do not see a pre-order or backorder notice on a product page, the item must be in stock to be purchased. Out‑of‑stock items are typically marked as "Sold Out" and cannot be added to your cart.

5. Out‑of‑stock items and substitutions

  • When an item is permanently or temporarily out of stock, it will be marked as "Sold Out" and may be hidden from the store or left visible as "unavailable" for reference.

  • We do not automatically substitute different products for out‑of‑stock items without your permission.

  • If a similar alternative poster is available (for example, a different size, edition, or related title), we may contact you to offer that option, but you are not required to accept a substitute.

If you have already placed an order and an item later becomes unavailable due to an inventory error, damage during preparation, or supplier issue, we will:

  1. Contact you using the email or phone number on your order.

  2. Offer one or more of the following options (depending on the situation):

    • A full or partial refund for the unavailable item.

    • A suggested alternative poster of similar value or appeal.

    • An updated delivery timeframe if we can source the item from another location or supplier.

6. Limited editions and special releases

  • Some posters in our collection may be marked as "Limited Edition" or part of a special release with a specific quantity available (for example, "Only 5 left in stock").

  • These items are often highly sought after and may sell out quickly.

  • Limited edition items are typically not restocked once sold out, so we encourage collectors to purchase promptly if interested.

7. Cancellations related to inventory

Movie Original Poster reserves the right to cancel any order, in whole or in part, if:

  • The product is no longer available, has been sold to another customer, or has been discontinued.

  • There is a significant inventory discrepancy or pricing error on the product listing.

  • The item is damaged, lost, or otherwise unavailable for shipment.

  • We reasonably suspect fraud, misuse of our store, or violation of our Terms of Service.

If we cancel all or part of your order for inventory‑related reasons, you will be notified promptly and any payment for affected items will be refunded to your original method of payment. We will make reasonable efforts to suggest comparable alternatives when possible.
